Portfolio

My portfolio is growing every day so I don’t want to overload you. I’ve chosen some of the more relevant content to represent the work I’ve done. It is only a small sampling of a pretty large portfolio, so feel free to ask for additional examples.

Also, I will add the disclaimer that the companies I’ve written for have the rights to my content. This means they occasionally update it via other writers from time to time for SEO purposes, but it may still have MY name on it. So if you find something of mine, and it somehow sucks, it could be that it was updated by someone else and I didn’t notice.

It also means that a lot of MY writing was updating other articles for other writers as well…So yeah. The internet is basically a big, noodle-like mess. The more you know, right?

I will do my best to keep up with this portfolio page to make sure links are still active, that the writing hasn’t been ripped apart by someone else, and that there are no other such issues. I do still have all of the original content, if need be, which I can easily provide.

Ok, disclaimer done! Here are some writing samples and links to showcase the various industries I’ve written for.

SEO Articles

Search engine optimization is how you get your online content found by your would-be readers. It can be the difference of people finding your site easily, or fading into the deep and bottomless chasm of oblivion.

No pressure, right?

All of the articles I’ve written use SEO and GEO best practices. These include internal and external links, proper use of headings and word count, and even using tools like Surfer SEO to ensure optimum findability.

Health

I’ve had the pleasure of writing for a personal online medical record company called PocketHealth, which has been incredibly educational. I’ve written about numerous health subjects, such as various cancers, genetic disorders, pregnancy, and chronic health conditions.

I’ve strived to use only the most up-to-date, scientific, and trustworthy sources available, as accuracy in this industry is paramount. No AI research here, I do it all the old-fashioned way! Here is a small sampling of the dozens of articles I have created for PocketHealth:

Lung Cancer Diagnosis and Detection

How to Access your Canadian Health Records Abroad

What to Know About Thyroid Cancer Management

Colorectal Cancer Management

Ultrasounds for Kidney Stone Detection

Fitness

Here’s an article I did about the 5 things that drive your personal trainer crazy. Fun fact. I am a personal trainer with my own microscopic side hustle. Still, that side hustle has been going since 2012. I’m triple certified with the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and keep up with continuing education requirements. I know fitness-y things. Like, a lot.

If you need anything written in this realm, I’ve more than got you.

Pop Culture

I love it when I get to write about all things geeky. Video games, movies, horror, it’s all just a blast. If you need any pop-culture based content for your site, I’ve got you. Here are some gaming-specific articles I had such fun writing:

How to Play Fortnite on Split Screen

Doom: The Dark Ages

GTA 6 Release Date

Technology

Perhaps my most prolific genre so far, tech runs the gamut of being super simple (like how to collect iron nuggets in Animal Crossing) to super complicated. Like, I don’t want to bore you, complicated.

I consider myself fortunate to have been given the chance to delve into an industry that wasn’t my original forte. I ended up learning sooooo much.

My favorite part is taking challenging content and turning it into an article that anyone can understand. Here is my author link for Addictive Tips, a tech site that’s featured many of my articles. Other, specific links also include content for Web Hosting Canada. Here’s some of my top tech links:

Avast SecureLine VPN Review

What is Whois Lookup?

Best Residential Proxies

Best Email Hosting Services for Canadians

B2B and SaaS (Business-to-business and software as a service)

Writing for the B2B and SaaS industries requires a lot of marketing knowledge to best communicate to your target audience. They need to know how your product or service applies to them, specifically. I’ve had the opportunity to do some work in this sector and it has been the most challenging and also rewarding copywriting I’ve done. I absolutely love it.

Here is a case study and also a white paper that I was able to do for the inventory software company, Erplain. Working with them was truly a pleasure and gave me an invaluable educational experience.

Blog

See the blog tab above for blog examples. That’s kinda what it’s for…

Web Copy

You know, I almost started to do this big project of showing you some website copy examples but thankfully my brains kicked in. I mean, DUH. I did all the copy for this site! So…uh…ta-dah?
